The aging of the population and the increasing prevalence of chronic disease and cardiovascular diseases is a major public health challenge. Developing preventive actions and early diagnosis for the elderly have become an increasing concern for our society and health care system.
The COmPLETE Study has the objective to better understand what are the biomarkers that are most suitable to dissociate healthy aging from chronic heart failure. To this end, they will recruit healthy population from 20 to 100 years old and patients with different stages of chronic heart failure. Among the numerous clinical assessments that will be performed, we are very proud that our sensors Physilog® will be used for gait analysis.
We hope that through this study it will be possible to identify gait biomarkers of healthy aging and define new recommendations for diagnostic guidance in aging.
Geriatric assessments using wearable systems is a future prerequisite for clinical decision making and patients’ follow up at home and in care environments. It becomes essential to improve our knowledge about healthy aging biomarkers.
