Gait Up traveled to London last week with Switzerland Global Enterprise, a non-profit association that advises SMEs from Switzerland and Liechtenstein in their international business ventures.
On Tuesday, we were welcomed to the Switzerland Embassy in London by Dominik Furgler, Ambassador of Switzerland to the United Kingdom, and his talented team for an evening of networking and discussion with companies and policy makers from the UK and Switzerland. Highlights included a B2B matchmaking event and listening to panelists discuss the outlook for wearable technology in healthcare.
On Wednesday, we headed to the London Victoria Docks for the Wearable Technology Show. We welcomed visitors to our exhibit at the ‘Swiss Pavilion’ for demos of our Gait and Running Analysis Packages, and our VP Business Development Alex Russell participated in the panel ‘Touching Lives with Wearable Technology’ on the main stage with fellow panelists Jens Krauss (CSEM), Charles Lowe (Digital Health & Care Alliance), and Pierre-Mikael Legris (Pryv).
While it was a short trip to the UK, it gave us a preview of international opportunities for Gait Up. In addition to fostering B2B relationships, Gait Up was nominated as the runner up for the Rising Star Award at the Wearable Technology Show, a warm congratulations for the enduring hard work by our team. Overall, a great trip to the UK, and we look forward to returning soon.
