Our Physilog® sensors are currently used by Grenoble Alpes University Hospital and the AGEIS lab (Univ. Grenoble Alpes, France) to investigate the control of human balance, posture, movement and gait under normal and pathological conditions. The sensors are advantageously used in basic, clinical and translational research, but also for educational purpose during lectures and practical courses.
They are also used for the prospective and longitudinal FOLOMI (Function, Locomotion, Measurement, Inflammation).study, aiming to determine if gait parameters measured in patients with axial spondyloarthritis (axSpA) could predict the evaluation of physical function at 18 months.
The combination of clinical and laboratory measurements of gait in patients with axSpA could strengthen the capacity to monitor disease’s evolution and to predict changes in patients’ physical function. This could ultimately allow delivering targeted, timely, personalized interventions and/or treatment in patients with axSpA, and in a broader perspective in other diseases.
